2019 Raul Perez 'Las Gundiñas' Lomas de Valtuille Bierzo, Spain Peru Australian Ben Caldwell and MexicanLas Gundias was planted in 1910 on clay intermixed with some limestone (uncommon in Valtuille) Mostly Menca with some Garnacha Tintorera (Alicante Bouschet), Bastardo (Trousseau), and a relatively high percentage of Doa Blanca Fermented with whole clusters and a long post fermentation maceration raised for one year in used 225L and 500L barrels bottled without fining or filtration
