Indianapolis Clowns 1952 Road Jersey Football The team started 1970 SpringHistory: The Clowns began their long sojourn in Black baseball as the traveling Miami Clowns, and used comedy routines as part of their act. It was all straight baseball once they became a member of the Negro American League in 1943, though, and in 1952 they were joined by a young slugger named Henry Aaron (#5).
