Rootdown Trousseau Cole Ranch 2023 CS20230516 Cabernet leadsTrousseau is a Jura red pale, perfumed, far more about earth and spice than fruit and Mike Lucia grafted it at Cole Ranch in 2020, inside America's smallest AVA. This is one of the first releases off those vines. Everything was destemmed and fermented in an egg shaped tank, a deliberate choice to keep the variety's identity intact rather than bury it under stems and extraction. Lucia picks for earth and texture rather than power, so the alcohol stays
