with furry tannins which are perhaps just a little dry - not the most elegant tannic texture

There is a fabulous purity to the fruit and a lushness to the texture that lets you know

its made from a single vineyard planted in the Santa Cruz Mountains at 730m above sea level and just 15 miles from the Pacific ocean

but not a great vintage for Celestins

Fully mature, with an exotic, concentrated, kirsch filled blast of fruit, the jam, garrigue, spice and underbrush side also came out nicely. This is not a wine I'd hold for further aging, but it has been a fun ride since release.
