Hand-painted Puffin Letter Opener, Presumed Grenfell Mission pewter shells and it is one II've had a couple of old Grenfell Mission (Labrador) wooden letter openers hand painted with figures in parka driving dogs sleds, and have seen a few other varieties as well, and this puffin is so similar in manner I am nearly certain it is Grenfell Mission as well. What a charmer of a puffin, and what a charmer of a letter opener, to keep on one's desk, or perhaps to stick like a post into a bowl full of pretty rocks and pebbles. C. 1920s 30s I
