Description
There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the tautly muscular flavors that are also shaped by relatively fine-grained tannins on the balanced and lingering finale
This moderately firm effort is an unusually good Aloxe villages and is also recommended
thanks to the wine's open and accessible persona
It is a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvedre (this is sometimes a split of Syrah and Mourvedre) that’s aged mostly in 1-2-and 3-year-old
Here are the markers of Maipo in a cooler vintage (90% of grapes were harvested in May) - still rich and exotic with gentle spice
Servin, Chablis Preuses Vintage:2022 There is a lovely sense(from a . 69 ha parcel planted in 1956). A reserved but exceptionally pretty nose somewhat grudgingly offers up its aromas of notably spicier white orchard fruit and cool floral whiffs along with hints of shrimp shell and iodine. There is better volume still if perhaps not quite the same minerality on the strikingly textured and hugely long finish that offers just a bit more complexity. This is excellent and worth considering.
