Benedict, Basil, Gabriel and Evangline, Fabulous 1897 Folk Art Graphite Drawing woven cloth 11 1/2" x 9" inTOTAL delight finding this one near Albany this week so good! An F. W. Terry rendered this scene on what one imagines was a chilly January evening in 1897 portraying, I have to guess, Benedict and Gabriel deep in a chess match in front the fire, while Basil and Evangline gazed into each other's eye sharing confidences and holding hands in the window seat nearby.
