Description
the wine offers loads of black fruit
the slightly warmer 2015 had more of these herbal aromas than the 2016
An overtly floral nose features pretty red berry fruit along with hints of stems and soft earth that are also reflected by the racy
which is a fantastic way to understand the link between place and wine
it has incredible elegance
Prieure Saint Jean Bebian, Prieure Rouge Brut Zero the wine offers loads ofDark red. Pungent, nuanced nose combines spiced cherry, blackberry, violet, minerals, black pepper and nutmeg. Supple, fruity and stylish, with bright acidity and a flavor of dark chocolate complicated by a strong component of baking spices (nutmeg, mace). Ultimately a wine of modest flesh but very well made and refined. Finishes with firm, dusty tannins. Rather like a leaner styled Cote Rotie. My sample of the 1997 La Chapelle de Bebian, the estate
