Quite a labor of love it was for someone to make these--I've had a few larger handmade tin architectures
and the rapa species name won out (which also includes Bok Choy
it exemplifies Hintz's interests in irregularities of texture
and certainly they provide a history lesson relative to the appearance of world flags at the end of the 19th century and colonies held at that time
Exquisite Antique Tintype of Painting of Infant 1980s vase 1868–1871)I'm not altogether certain how to untangle this one, but it appears to me to be a tintype photo of an earlier watercolor, I presume a portrait miniature but perhaps it is a tintype of a daguerreotype of a painting (??) And I love the mystery and ambiguity of it in many respects; while sharing qualities of post mortem daguerreotypes, where infants were carefully laid out in a similar manner here on what looks like a chaise, with a curtain draped behind
