and how much more exciting to head out into the woods with a flint and striker than with a lighter

with copper shield and woolen tunic

I'd guess this piece dates to the mid-20th century or so

Boston Terrier on the Lawn, Old RPPC carved victorian boot A repair of a smallFeeling almost as if shot through a pin hole camera, this dog, a Boston Terrier I believe, definitely seems like the center of the universe here, and, looking heavenward (though I think really up at some action in the tree to its right, the trunk of which just barely makes it into the photo) a bit as if summoning otherworldly powers, too. In the distance, I think we can just glimpse some laundry hanging from the porch of the house to dry, and then
