done on what looks like the inside of a book's back cover

with creamy white over red paint

but based on the style and names on the face cards I know they are French

Loads of character to both of them and to the yard, fence and structure behind them too! making me want to know everything about this young Thurston Creston Caton of Steelton, PA who I have learned lived 19021962, and seems to have had 16 brother and sisters! 3 3 8" x 2 3 8".
