Bellflowers, Lovely 1872 Floral Watercolor Signed Marian Marcelin meansuring cup I would guessI will never tire of antique folk art watercolors of flowers largely painted by women and a lot about close looking, and as was explicitly noted on another watercolor by this same Marian Marcelin that I listed last week, of an iris she "raised herself," these often seem to me to embody several points of pride at once. And I think this is a lovely example, bellflowers I believe. Signed on reverse and dated 1872. 8 3 8" x 5 3 4" and in excellent antique
