Mills' Logic; or, Franchise for Females Size:XL: 100 x 75cm ' This cartoon depicts Disraeli'Mills' Logic; or, Franchise for Females', 1867. John Stuart Mill, in the centre, makes a path for 'these persons' who are shown as a rather varied bunch of women. Shown, with the one exception, as taller than the men, the woman on the far left is obviously of the lower classes, whilst the woman next to her wears the embittered expression of the ageing spinster. It may be deduced from this that Punch was not wholly in favour of the emancipation of
