are all the better for the many years on them

and who knows how many more might be out there somewhere

which is absolutely FANTASTIC

Pair of Small, Whittled Whimsy Chains with Nice Age mends This beautifully constructed handmade throwI found this little pair of carved chain links together in Vermont, and while I don't always jump on carved whimsy chains these days, I think these are very nice ones, in which one very much feels the hand of the carver, whittling carefully away. The same hand (knife) made both, I believe, and I like them together, with the contrast between two different lengths of links making them feel specific and particular. Pretty easy to imagine the carver
