This flea market-found oil painting on canvas catches me off guard every time I look at it: the reverberation between those bright orange oranges and that terrific off-key green background gives it a startling pop

This one is signed Joseph H. Peck on reverse; I have found record of him, his brothers Edward and William, and several more siblings, all who appear to have been born in the 1830s 50s.
