and I think could be an early piece by James Robinson

with tiny holes down the right edge from where it was stitched into a notebook

with what appears to be a small dab of white paint on one of them

The box opens and closes easily and is in good overall condition

including those stippled black whiskers

Naive Watercolor and Graphite Drawing of Two Children and Noah's Arc (?) beautiful box and I think could beOh, just exactly my favorite sort of drawing, and how rare it seems, more and more so, to find ones like this done by a school child I believe, mid 19th c. or so I think, graphite and watercolor on lined paper, with an embossed stamp at the upper left edge of the paper. Look at his striped purple tights! And her polka dotted apron against mustard yellow sleeves. And those faces, and hands, and heads of hair, and the way sho looks as if she's
