Moreaux antique American tintype and heavy (I forgot toNot quite exactly my usual thing, but when I happened upon this painting close to home, I was immediately struck by its fineness and layers upon layers of glorious color and pattern and drama and detail, and the more time I spend with it, the more smitten I become. I've also got a weakness for any painting that reminds me of the frescoes I fell in love while living Florence, with at least one character casting a side eye directly out at the viewer, as
