Description
Excellent quality but patience required
I would be inclined to drink the ’04 Corton over the first 10 years of its life (even though it will survive much longer) as I’m not sure that the fruit will ultimately outlast the structure
plus and a lovely array of spice and floral elements
Sourced from 4ha of 65-year-old vines on granitic soils in the lieu-dit of Les Bessards
It will be interesting to see what he comes up with going forward
Moulin Saint Georges Size:6x1.5L Excellent quality but patience requiredAnother estate owned by perfectionist Alain Vauthier (the proprietor of Ausone), this is the poor persons value pick from this proprietor. One of the finest vintages ever made by Alain Vauthier is the 2003 Moulin St. Georges, a sleeper of the vintage. Deep purple to the rim with an exquisite nose of blueberries, white flowers, crushed rocks, and mulberry, the wine is rich, textured, powerful, and much more structured and full bodied than it usually is
