with some wear to the surface of the paper as documented in photos but in great shape structurally and very substantial

A tiny bit of breakage to the red dyed splints at the very center of the lid (I have yet to find one of these where that is not the case) but overall great condition

Beautiful Old Wooden Handled Chalkline beach house drawing the blocks stack on dowelsThis old wooden chalkline tool just struck me as really beautiful, most of all for the blue of the chalk dyed string, which varies in tone and makes it feels like a painting to me! The spool holding the string rotates on the handle in order for the string to be unwound and stretched taut, and it could certainly be put to use once again, though I'd be very content to treat it like a sculpture and just set it somewhere to be admired. 8 3 8" l x 1 1 2"
