A couple of surface chips as evident but otherwise very good condition

1 7/8" x 1 5/8" and in good condition

For a while it seemed to me all of them were done by the same person but now I think by different students in the same class

with hinge in excellent shape and interior clean

And what a lot of joy painting it clearly brought to RR Strang

Two Young Men with Early Bicycles, c. 1880s-90s Tintype Under Glass in Foil Wrap Hunt and Eaton A couple of surface chipsI'm not an expert on the history of bicycles, but I believe the two young men here are standing beside "safety" bicycles, with pedals powering the rear wheel rather than the front one an innovation of the 1880s. I love a young man with a bike, even better two, and love the mustaches, and the attitudes of these two. With painted trees and what looks like a lake view backdrop, and a couple of rugs under foot or wheel, as it were:) As found, under glass
