The stopper is tightly stuck and I haven't tried to force it--but there is a bit of cork floating around inside

I’m pretty taken with these Syroco (Syracuse Ornamental Company) Ornawood (made from wood pulp) wall plaques

There is a bit of loss to the painting on the face--as documented in images that were taken with 3-4 times magnification

There is also one little ding to the wood on one end right at the center of the handle

I believe she would be called a "hina" doll (of which there are many types, standing and seated), which represented emperors and empresses and members of the court.
