this is just about my favorite erotic folk art toy I've seen

and judging from the  aged surface of the iron

as visible in photos

so am not entirely certain the date on this one

Gestural Pair of Victorian Mounted Hair Samples, Annotated, 1860s gift for child 3 7/16" t x 2This came from a small collection of hair locks and wreaths dating to the 1860s all stitched to, or tucked into, bits of paper annotated with names and notes. I considered listing them as a collection, but realized much of what I find beautiful about these is their specificity and singularity (color, composition, etc.) and so have treated them as individual drawings of sorts and so, truly, what a beautiful drawing!
