1858 Folk Art Graphite on Paper Drawing of Landscape with Castle in Period Frame wading mid-1960s metal bookendsFound in Vermont but British I presume, dated August 1858 and with a view of what looks to me to be "Cass Castle" but I'm not entirely sure about the Cass! I love a mid 19th century folk art graphite drawing, and this is a pretty quintessential example, complete with tiny boat of boaters in hats at left. Nicely moody and quite transportive I'd say. Framed, as found, behind glass in a period frame: 12 7 16 x 10 1 2. Sight: 8 5 8 x 10 3 4. All in good
