Charming Little 19th C. Naive Lion Drawing in Period Frame farm boy birds and abstract shapes thatThis old hand drawn lion looks as if it must have been inspired by a heraldic one, but how much better naively rendered in what looks to be a mix of crayon and graphite, with black ink for the eyes. Marvelous folky face, and those huge paws with what look like a few extra toes really do it for me! With "lion" written in ink at lower left, making me think most likely this was a school drawing. 5 7 16"x 4 3 8" framed. Sold in the period frame I found it
