Abraham Trembley and pupils collecting hydra contest was an object of derisionLandscape view showing the naturalist Abraham Trembley collecting specimens from a pond, using a net, with his two pupils, the sons of Count Willem Bentinck (1704 1774) behind him. The water feature is within a garden stocked with a peacock and other birds at Zorgvlied near the Hague in the Netherlands.
