Old Leather Make Do Fly Swatter with Wooden Handle and Wonderful Patina atoni carving This thing is so funA very beautiful thing, purchased from one of my favorite dealers in New Hampshire, who has been a source of many treasures this is a homemade fly swatter, with gorgeous leather swat, and perhaps even more gorgeous (and gorgeously worn) carved wood handle. The leather was slotted between a slit carved into the handle, then secured with a couple of iron nails, which look to have been supplemented by a couple more at some point. Perfect patina all over,
