Skull, Links, Compass, Flag, All Seeing Eye: Pair of Linked Locks Odd Fellows + Masonic Whimsy large painted basket perhaps to evade the twoA fun whimsy for an Odd Fellow, of a Freemason, or better yet both, with three links (FLT) on one lock, below a skull and cross, I believe identifying it specifically as Odd Fellows, while the square and compass on the other identifies it as Masonic. (It was not at all uncommon for men to belong to both, as was surely the case here.) Plus an all seeing eye with very fluttery eyelashes, and an American flag too. And with the carved locks themselves
