He is fairly light in weight and seems perhaps to have been carved from driftwood

rather than wood

with especially nice profile views showing strong jawline and high cheekbones

What I especially like about this one is the little pocket recess for a thimble at the the center, which also reminds me of those old mystery boxes where one sticks one's hand inside and feels around at some unknown thing!
