I know from a little research that "deposite" is an archaic form of the word deposit

which I believe would have held it tight to the long post

but as I started photographing them it becomes clear that they are really best all as a group

though I'm still not sure why it would have the handle on it

but there was no way I could turn my back on this

Pair of Birds Vintage Carnival Shooting Targets Tasaf I know from a littleI found these two together and really like them as a pair, with the smaller chick or duck marching along behind its more abstract looking parent. Both of these have seen action as targets, with shot marks on both fronts and backs, all to the good. These appear to be made of steel plate and welded to their bases rather than being made cast iron. Larger measures 4 3 4" tall and wide x 1" deep at base' smaller 2 3 4" t x 3 1 16" w x 1" d.
