Description
Anjou pear and green apple mingled with notions of freshly baked bread
supple and round middle weight flavors are surprisingly forward compared to how this wine is typically structured
with steadily building tannins and lingering florality
the acidity a little lower than the 2010 and the tannins softer
red and black fruits
Anne-Francoise Gros, Vosne Romanee Reas Vintage:2016 Anjou pear and green appleThis is the ripest of the three Vosne villages wines yet it retains good freshness and spiciness that adds appeal to the red and dark berry fruit aromas that are trimmed in notes of sandalwood. There is excellent size, weight and mid palate concentration to the velvety and delicious finish that possesses fine length on the balanced finish. This should drink well both young and with 6 to 8 years of age on it. (89 91) 2020+
