I do not know why Minolta called their budget lens line "Celtic" and I don't think anyone knows, possibly not even Minolta. There is nothing Celtic about this lens, or about Minolta, unless I slept through a couple of pretty important world history classes, which is possible. Anyway it's a perfectly fine lens in nice shape, with clean glass and only minor cosmetic
