I found this wonderful water color inside of the old tramp frame I just listed

4" x 3 1/8" x 7/16" d and in very good condition with some minor rusting the surface

seeming perfectly in keeping with a message letting family know that one is "still alive" and providing some evidence that is so

Based on the cage visible rear left, I presume a traveling menagerie or circus of some sort, and presume the shirtless man with back turned to the camera is the tamer of sorts. A cruel practice indeed, but the specificity and close framing of this image seems quite extraordinary to me in capturing the danger of it for
