An oval laurel wreath constructed of gilded zink, tied together at the base via a ribbon, with a national eagle placed on top of the badge clutching a mobile swastika, and a submarine in the center of the badge, the reverse plain, with a horizontal needle style pinback, a sheet metal hinge, and a round wire catch, marked f. o for Friedrich Orth on the reverse, but also
