It is constructed of bronze and aluminum, with a metal dial imprinted with mb (millibars), Lufft (manufacturer), a Kriegsmarine eagle with M standing for Kriegsmarine, as well as 3599 (possibly the model number). It has roman numerals printed onto the face, ranging from 860 to 1090 in 10 mb intervals, with 10 ticks in between, standing for 1 mb
