I am not certain of the artist as the only mark on the bottom is "1642 Italy" and I have not found its match

14 1/2” long x 3” widest diameter (where handle meets bowl) and in excellent antique condition

with the dominant color a wonderful rich burgandy) and the only signs of age are a little bit of dirt on one side along the center fold line—barely noticeable

It's quite a sweet one though, with the horsehair woven through what seems likely to be linen cloth (visible just above the scalloped edge of the pink cloth), and a nicely shaped turned wooden handle.
