Very fun to open this old wooden hive shaped coin bank to find all of these old charms inside

(The contrast is a bit more pronounced ion photos than in hand

and I am always rather charmed by them--so much effort invested in the making of this little thing

I especially love that the pupil of one of the tiny glass eyes is cast skyward

Meant to represent a mouse I presume, with a long twisted wire tail, but with those tin wings it could very well be taken for a flying red bat!
